One of the last performances at the Minetta Lane Theatre before being acquired by Audible studios, Red Roses Green Gold was a jukebox musical of the Grateful Dead. Featuring songs arranged by Dead and Company, RRGG became a mini Dead jam session every night.

Looking back on this show I should have added instrument tech to my list of responsibilities. More than half of my wireless was used by the instruments you see on stage. Every single one was used in the show and many more are tucked about the space waiting to be played. Since the performers stayed on the stage for the majority of the performance my job was relatively easy. Prepping instruments for the next number, swapping wireless packs, and tuning everything from banjos to cellos were standard fare.

This show was hard to see close. The company was great and the music rockin. Breaks between shows were jam sessions and I learned a ton of new instruments.
